Acer buergerianum 'Sunshine' leaf outs in the early spring as a light golden yellow. As summer progresses, the leaves gradually turn light yellow-green before becoming a light green. The foliage reaches its peak in autumn color in a vivid orange-red. Each leaf has three broad, moderately divided lobes that fan out. The ovate lobes feature triangular, pointed tips and distinctly toothed margins. Can grow to close to 15-20 ft tall in 10 years.
