‘Baldsmith’ is a low growing dissectum that truly stands out. The early spring color is a stunning bright pink with yellow-green undertones. The rich pink color gives this pendulous maple a soft elegant appearance. As spring turns to summer foliage becomes a lush green and is accented by bright flushes of pink-to-red new growth. The fall color ranges from deep yellows to orange. 

‘Baldsmith’ has a great shape that grows very even and dense in a low umbrella like form. The dimensions typically reach 5 ft by 5 ½ ft wide in 15 years. Unique in its magnificent color, ‘Baldsmith’ will make a great addition as a featured centerpiece planting or container specimen. This cultivar is a show stopper on its own but is particularly nice when paired with a deep red or green dissectum.
