Acer palmatum 'Isobel' Rare Japanese Maple

Acer palmatum 'Isobel'

RareĀ Japanese Maple

Zones 5-9

This is a tree you will want to plant where you can watch it throughout the seasons. 'Isobel' leafs out in the early spring as a bright pink-red. Because of the brightness of the leaves, some have considered this a "flowering maple" because the leaves are as beautiful as blooms on a flowering plant. By mid-late spring, the leaves turn to a rich green just in time to give a backdrop to the summer flush of pink new growth. In autumn, 'Isobel' turns to a bright orange-red.

'Isobel' may reach 6-8 ft in 15 years. This introduction by Dick van der Maat of Holland is strikingly beautiful and an exceptional Japanese maple to add to your garden.

Limited Quantities Available !!Ā As we have over a thousand cultivars of Japanese maples, we often do not have many of each cultivar. We recommend that you buy the Japanese maples you want immediately as we often sell out of certain selections.
