Acer palmatum 'Harold's Pinebark' Japanese Maple

Acer palmatum 'Harold's Pinebark'

Ā Japanese Maple

Zones 5-9

'Harold's Pinebark' is renowned for its distinctive ā€œpinebarkā€ texture, which develops on older growth as the juvenile bark matures. This unique feature adds a classic look to any garden. Over 15 years, 'Harold's Pinebark' can grow to a height of 10-12 ft. Originally introduced by Harold Johnston, this tree was still under evaluation at the time of his passing. The eye-catching, pine-like bark beautifully contrasts with its palmate leaves, which transition to stunning shades of yellow to orange-red in the fall. Its foliage is more serrated and deeply divided compared to other pinebarks.

This Japanese maple tree also is very popular in the bonsai trade for its interesting bark.

Limited Quantities Available !!Ā As we have over a thousand cultivars of Japanese maples, we often do not have many of each cultivar. We recommend that you buy the Japanese maples you want immediately as we often sell out of certain selections.
