'Hoshi yadori’ is one of the most amazing selections of batwing maples. In the spring, the leaves leaf out with a reddish tint. As the spring progresses, the yellow starlike and speckled variegation becomes prominent on these large dark green leaves. The contrast between the bright yellow and dark green will make you fall in love with this batwing maple. ‘Hoshi yadori’ turns to bright yellow in the fall. ‘Hoshi yadori’ forms a nice upright tree reaching 8-10 ft in height in 15 years.
