'Pat Ryan' is quite a unique native azalea hybrid by Dr. Eugene Aromi of Alabama. His selections were bred for their vigor and heat tolerance. This is quite special as red flower buds open up to pink-peach blossoms splotched with yellow-orange. This creates an excellent bicolor effect. These clusters of blossoms put on quite the show and are especially fragrant. This spicy aroma will grab your attention. 'Pat Ryan' may reach 6 ft in height and 4 ft in width in 10 years. Make sure to give 'Pat Ryan' plenty of organic matter when planting and good drainage.
