'Aurea’ is a Spanish fir selection that pushes golden new growth in the spring and summer. The golden color is nice addition. In most of the south, ‘Aurea’ may turn greener for the winter. ‘Aurea’ makes a nice conical shape reaching 5-6 ft in height by 4 ft in width in 19 years. Give 'Aurea' protection from the hot afternoon sun, especially in the south.

Our Abies pinsapo 'Aurea' are grafted on abies firma which makes them more heat tolerant and durable than when grafted on Abies koreana.
