'Inazuma nishiki' is, by far, the most amazing splotched variegated trident of them all.  It leafs out in the early spring with bright pink variegation that matures to a white before turning to a cream by mid-summer. It is extremely vigorous reaching 12 ft in height in 10 years. The name translates as 'Variegated Thunder'. For best colorations, trim on 'Inazuma nishiki' in the early spring before it leafs out. This will result in heavier variegation and a display of color that is sure to excite any garden goer.
