By our good friends "in the know" in Japan, we have confirmed this tree goes by two different names, 'Tancho' and 'Naruto'. From our best understanding, 'Naruto' translates from Japanese as "birds in flight" and 'Tancho' is a type of Japanese crane. This is very fitting for a tree with leaves that curl to look like a flock of origami birds are in flight upward toward the sky. 'Naruto' may reach up 15 ft in height in 20 years. Fall colors range from golden oranges to reds.
