'Nokoribo' is a beautiful trident maple with salmon-pink new growth that matures to green. The colorful new growth make this trident extremely showy. The foliage has a unique ruffle thatĀ gives this trident maple a little something extra. 'Nokoribo' holds onto its leaves much longer in the autumn than most other trees. 'Nokoribo' turns to red in the fall.

Under the name 'Nokoribi', this trident was introduced in 1996 by Hisao Nakajima. According to Yano's Book for Maples, this rare trident maple is sold in the Saitama Prefecture in Japan and now also on MrMaple.Ā 

Trees were potted from large liners to gallons in this spring and may not have completely filled out their pots.
