Acer palmatum 'Aksel' Japanese Maple

Acer palmatum 'Aksel'

Exceptional Spring Color Japanese Maple

Zones 5-9

Ā

'Aksel' is a bright pink in the spring when it first leafs out. This is extremely unique for any Japanese maple with this large of leaf. Found as a chance seedling in the southwest of France and named after Agustin's first grandchild, this tree is both pretty and unique. After about a week of being in leaf, the pink turns to green. Fall color is typically yellow to orange. We would expect 'Aksel' to reach 6-8 ft in 15 years.

Limited Quantities Available !!Ā As we have over a thousand cultivars of Japanese maples, we often do not have many of each cultivar. We recommend that you buy the Japanese maples you want immediately as we often sell out of certain selections.
