Acer palmatum 'Alpenweiss' Variegated Japanese Maple

Acer palmatum 'Alpenweiss'
Pink Reticulated Variegated

Japanese Maple

Zones 5-9

'Alpenweiss' is a reticulated variegated maple of pink and white variegation that is smaller than 'Higasayama' long term. It was found by our good friend, Bob Baltzer of Baltzer Nursery in Oregon, as a chance seedling. Spring colors are bright pink reticulated variegation that fades to cream, then white, then green.  Fall colors can return to this pink reticulation. Mature heights will reach around 12-14 ft in 25 years. This tree does not revert, however like most reticulates, they do not display variegation in cold frames in Western NC. When planted or left outside, the variegation will show again the following year.

Limited Quantities Available !! As we have over a thousand cultivars of Japanese maples, we often do not have many of each cultivar. We recommend that you buy the Japanese maples you want immediately as we often sell out of certain selections.
