Acer palmatum 'Barbara' leafs out int he early spring as peach-orange. The display lasts for about a week, but is quite intense and showy. The leaf on 'Barbara' matures light green with a red border. By late spring the border has faded to green. The fall color lights up the garden again with bright oranges to red. The overall habit of 'Baraba' is a dense and compact but upright. I would expect 'Barbara' to get Ā 8-10 ft in 10 years. 'Barbara' is an excellent accent tree to add to a garden to provide that dynamic contrast that will wow you each and every year.
