'Bella' is a new addition to the Area 51 Collection at MrMaple. This chance seedling has been under evaluation at MrMaple for over 10 years. It has a unqiue curl and twist to the foliage with a tight compact habit. The spring color is a bright coral pink, turning to bronze, Ā then a bright green. The shape of 'Bella' is comparable to 'Taroyama', but with a brighter spring color. 'Bella' may reach 5 ft in height by 4 ft in width in 10 years. In autumn, 'Bella' turns to a bright fiery red.Ā
