'Beni komachi' is beautiful bright red Japanese maple in the spring with a dense upright form. Spring flush can be an intense fiery red if given plenty of sunlight. This matures to green red. New foliage in the summer is a bright crimson red. In the fall, 'Beni komachi' turns to a bright scarlet to crimson red. 'Beni komachi' may reach 10-12 ft in 15 years. The name 'Beni komachi' translates as "pretty red headed little girl".
