Acer palmatum 'Brocade' Japanese Maple

Acer palmatum dissectum 'Brocade '

Brocade Weeping Laceleaf Japanese Maple

Zones 5-9

New growth on ‘Brocade’ is a bright orange-red, maturing to dark red. The dark red matures to a red-green, with orange red new growth that pushes again the summer. In the fall, ‘Brocade’ turns to bright orange to red. While ‘Brocade’ is similar to ‘Orangeola’ and originated before ‘Orangeola’, one may actually get more orange fall color out of ‘Brocade’. ‘Brocade’ is one of the most heavily cascading laceleafs that weeps so strongly that it will creep and crawl across the ground unless you stake it upwards. This creates a nice laceleaf ground cover reaching 1-1.5 ft in height in by 6 ft in width in 10 years. For a more dramatic effect stake ‘Brocade’ up to about 3-4 ft, letting it cascade downward and form a carpet at its base.

Limited Quantities Available !! As we have over a thousand cultivars of Japanese maples, we often do not have many of each cultivar. We recommend that you buy the Japanese maples you want immediately as we often sell out of certain selections.
