'Marielle' is an excellent weeping selection that was found by Bart Eykemans and named after his wife, who is the Secretary of the North American Branch of the Maple society. 'Marielle' has bright fushia red border in the spring, holding this amazingly flashy border until late spring to early summer. The lace leaves on this selection are extremely fine and delicate in appearance, however, this tree has proven to be quite hardy in our evaluations. In the autumn, 'Marielle' turns to a bright orange-red. We expect this selection to reach 4-5 ft in height and width 15 years.
