'Frilly Willy' is a newer Japanese maple selection from Georgia. This Japanese maple by our friend David Freed gets its 'Frilly Willy' name because of the serrated lace-like green foliage. This tree is exceptionally beautiful as the wind blows the frilly leaves. 'Frilly Willy' may reach 10ft in height in 15 years. Fall color ranges from bright crimson to deep scarlet.
