'Gaki no sugi' has a bright  reticulated foliage with green veining throughout the leaf. On mature plants, 'Gaki no sugi' has one of the largest leaves of any of the reticulated ghost-like types. Mid-summer new growth is a peach to pink with reticulation. In autumn, 'Gaki no sugi' turns to bright ornages to red. We estimate that this variegated selection may reach 6 ft in height and width in 10 years. For best growing conditions for this selection, we recommend morning sun and afternoon shade.
