Fall colors on Jiro shidare are a bright orange to crimson. 'Jiro shidare' was named after Jiro Kobayashi by Kobayashi Maple Nursery in Japan. "Shidare" refers to the weeping habit of this Japanese maple. This was the parent plant to Acer palmatum 'Ryusen'.
