Acer palmatum 'Kenbu' Japanese Maple

Acer palmatum 'Kenbu'

RareĀ Kenbu Japanese Maple

Zones 5-9

Ā

ā€˜Kenbu' is a thickly lobed linearilobum selection by Masayoshi Yano. This was found from the progeny of 'Shinobu ga oka' but differed greatly from its parent because it had bronze highlights on the green strap-leaves. Introduced in Japan in 1990, this cultivar has not been widely known in the United States but is a beautiful tree reaching 7-8 ft in height in 10 years. Fall color is a bright crimson red.

Trees were potted from large liners to gallons in this spring and may not have completely filled out their pots.

Limited Quantities Available !!Ā As we have over a thousand cultivars of Japanese maples, we often do not have many of each cultivar. We recommend that you buy the Japanese maples you want immediately as we often sell out of certain selections.
