'Little Joe' is a brand new Japanese maple selection with a dwarf compact habit. 'Little Joe' has small green leaves that turn orange to red in the fall. 'Little Joe' was found as a chance witches' broom mutation in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, by our good friend, Tom Krenitski. 'Little Joe' was named after a relative of Tom Krenitski. We expect 'Little Joe' to reach 4-5 ft in height and width in 10 years.Ā
