'Little Margie' is a dwarf selection of Japanese maple found by Margie Jenkins as a chance seedling and named by Don Shadow. Don asked us to graft this selection, which got it into the nursery trade under this name. This selection has also been known under the name 'Jenkins'.

'Little Margie' is a small dwarf Japanese maple with a rich purple green border outlining the chartreuse green foliage. This vigorous dwarf is great for containers. In the ground, 'Little Margie' may reach 2-3 ft in height by 6 ft in width in 10 years. Fall color on 'Little Margie' can range from orange to red. 'Little Margie' is exceptionally heat tolerant and can handle full sun if needed. This dwarf is sure to become one your favorite trees!
