Acer palmatum 'Martha Ghost' is a rare and distinctive Japanese maple, admired for its striking variegated foliage. As part of the esteemed "Ghost" series, it showcases intricate reticulated (netted) leaf patterns. In spring, its leaves emerge with a soft, creamy white to pale green base, accented by deep green to purple veins, creating an ethereal, ghostly effect. As the seasons progress, the foliage shifts to a soft green in summer before transforming into a brilliant display of orange, red, and pink in autumn. This slow-growing tree typically reaches a mature height of 6–10 ft over time.
