Acer palmatum 'Masu kagami' Rare Japanese Maple

Acer palmatum

'Masu kagami'
Rare Japanese Maple

Zones 5-9

'Masu kagami' leafs out in the spring as a bright salmon to pink-red. The leaves of this Japanese maple are tightly layered on the branching creating a very full look. By early summer it fades chartreuse green before the secondary flush of new growth returns as a pink-red. Fall colors are bright crimsons to rich scarlets. This Japanese maple selection can reach 12 ft in height in 20 years. The name 'Masu kagami' translates as "mirror of the drinking glass".

Limited Quantities Available !! As we have over a thousand cultivars of Japanese maples, we often do not have many of each cultivar. We recommend that you buy the Japanese maples you want immediately as we often sell out of certain selections.
