'Pastel' leafs out in the spring with a pastel pink reticulated variegation. As the season progresses, the veins in the leaf become darker creating a more dramatic effect. 'Pastel' turns to a bright red to deep maroon in the fall. 'Pastel' is a newer selection recently introduced by Talon Buchholz. 'Pastel' is expected to reach 10 ft in height in 10 years. Protection from the hot afternoon sun is recommended for best pastel colors.
