‘Shazam' is a very unique large leaf red Japanese maple. 'Shazam' has large red leaves but will also have some leaves that will be abnormally large in spots across the tree. We named this tree 'Shazam' for the kid superhero that says "Shazam" and grows to be a large muscular man. 'Shazam' was found by our good friend, Bobby Green, in Alabama, who brought us a cutting on this tree when we were speaking at the Gulf States Horticultural Expo. Fall color of 'Shazam' is a bright fiery red. 'Shazam' may reach 12 ft in 15 years.
