'Shishio hime' is a dwarf compact Japanese maple with tiny small leaves that display a bright red border in the early spring. 'Shishio hime' may reach 2-3 ft in height by 6 ft in width in 10 years. 'Shishio hime' turns to bright red to deep maroon in the fall.
