'Stella Rossa' is beautiful weeping red Japanese maple selection from Fratelli Gilardelli Nursery in Italy. The spring color is a bright red, almost pink red. Summer foliage is a dark red with sunlight, turning bronze-red in the shade. Fall color is a bright red. 'Stella Rossa' may get 4-5 ft in height by 5-6 ft in width in 10 years. 'Stella Rossa' translates to English from Italian as "red star".
