'Van den Akker' is a weeping laceleaf Japanese maple with a brighter orange-red color over top of green bark. The cascading habit is quite nice as well. 'Van den Akker' turns to a bronze during the summer. Fall color on 'Van den Akker' is a bright yellow to orange. 'Van den Akker' may reach 4 ft in height by 5 ft in width in 10 years.
