Acer palmatum 'Yellow Submarine' is a cultivar of the Japanese Maple tree known for its distinctive yellow foliage.  In spring, the leaves emerge a bright yellow-green, turning golden yellow in summer, and finally a striking orange in fall. Typically grows to about 6-8 feet tall and wide in 10 years, making it a suitable choice for small gardens or as a container plant. The 'Yellow Submarine' has a strong, cascade weeping habit and was a sister seedling to 'Dragon Master'. 

Prefers partial shade to full sun, although it might need some protection from the harsh afternoon sun to prevent leaf scorch.
