'Vanity' is a showy variegated red maple. Unlike many other variegated Acer rubrum selections 'Vanity' often makes a bush-like form full of pink red new growth maturing to pink, then, white. The variegation on 'Vanity' is quite striking. I recommend giving 'Vanity' protection from the hot afternoon sun for best growth and variegation. 'Vanity' may reach 6-8 ft in 10 years. If someone wants this tree to develop a central leader, you may stake it up, but lower more bushy shapes tend to display more variegation.
