'Winter Gold' is a four season plant for sure. It leaves out with large green leaves over a bright yellow bark. During the fall, the color of the leaves are bright golden yellows to orange. During the winter, this 'Winter Gold' puts on a winter display of some of the brightest gold bark of any plant in the garden. This unique winter seasonal interest is fantastic.
'Winter Gold' grows in an upright manner up to 20 ft. Protection from the hot afternoon sun is recommended with good drainage. 'Winter Gold' was found as a chance seedling by the late Peter Douwsma and named by Arnold Teese of Yasmina Rare Plant Nursery in Australia. Get "down under" with this amazing selection.
