Acer sieboldianum 'Ogurayama’ is an extremely cold tolerant Japanese maple that is a strong grower and has a great fall color. ’Ogurayama’ leafs out in the spring with medium-sizes olive green foliage that are heavily pubescent. The shape of the tree is upright, reaching 10-12 ft in height in 15 years. Fall color is fairly reliable and can range from yellow to orange to red. No matter which color, it is always incredible!

‘Ogurayama’ is sometimes listed as Acer shirasawanum or Acer japonicum, but we believe is Acer sieboldianum when you pay attention to many of the little details. Sometimes this tree is labeled ‘Ogure yama’.
