‘Corley’s Cardinal’ is a beautiful orange red blooming azalea that puts on a display come mid-April. Each bloom has an orange blotch. ‘Corley’s Cardinal’ may reach 6 ft in height by 6 ft in width in 10 years. 'Corley’s Cardinal’ is a hybrid native azalea bred by R.O. Smitherman. It was named after Tom Corley, an azalea and camellia pioneer in the South. Matt and I had the pleasure of meeting Tom. He loved sharing his passion of plants with others.
