'George Wood Pink’ is a native selection of a natural hybrid that George Wood found growing on Cheaha Mountain in Alabama. It is believed to be a hybrid between Rhododendron cumberlandense and Rhododendron arborescens. ‘George Wood Pink’ displays baby pink blooms with red stamens and a yellow blotch. The blooms themselves are fragrant. ‘George Wood Pink’ may reach 6 ft in height by 4 ft in width in 10 years.
