Azalea 'Snow’ White Flowering Kurume Azalea

Azalea 'Snow' White Blooms

Evergreen Azalea -

Kurume Hybrid

Zones 6-8

The famous plant explorer, E.H. Wilson, believed that the Kurume azaleas were some of the loveliest of all the azaleas. Their dwarf compact habit and heavy bloom set make them quite a show piece in the garden. ‘Snow’ is no exception. The pure white blooms cover the branches making it hard to see the leaves. Each bloom has a light yellow blotch and green throat. For a white hose-in-hose blooming azalea, ‘Snow’ is superb. ‘Snow’ was introduced by the Domoto Brothers, who were Japanese Americans who moved to California from Japan in late 1800s. Many of their introductions had Japanese names which were later translated to English names . ‘Snow’ was likely ‘Yuki’ originally. ‘Snow’ has nice mounding habit reaching 2-3 ft in height and width in 10 years.

Limited Quantities Available !! As we have hundreds of azalea cultivars, we often do not have many of each cultivar. We recommend that you buy the azaleas you want immediately as we often sell out of certain selections.
