‘Sommerville Sunrise’ is a deciduous native azalea selected to do well with heat and humidity. ‘Sommerville Sunrise’ will brighten your landscape or garden with gorgeous blooms in late March through April. Collected by Earl Sommerville near Quincy Florida in the early 80s, the bright yellow trusses of blooms of ‘Sommerville Sunrise’ must’ve been hard to miss. The ‘Sommerville Sunrise’ reaches a height of 4-6ft and spreads roughly 4ft in width in 10 years.  ‘Sommerville Sunrise’ grows best with well drained oraganic soil and partial shade. This fragrant yellow blooming azalea is a must have.
