'Spring Sensation' is one of favorite hybrids by Dr. Eugene Aromi. This azalea produces large trusses of light pink flowers mid-to-late spring. The blooms on 'Spring Sensation' are quite attractive as they open, but when they form a full rounded truss, they are to die for! 'Spring Sensation' was bred for its heat and humidity tolerance which makes it a great fragrant bloomer for the Southern United States. 'Spring Sensation' was bred using a hybrid and Rhododendron canescens. 'Spring Sensation' may reach 6-8 ft in height by 4-5 ft in width in 10 years. Like most deciduous azaleas, 'Spring Sensation' prefers well drained acidic soil that is highly composed of organic matter.
