Azalea 'Tri-Lights’ Lavender Flowers Deciduous Azalea
Azalea 'Tri-Lights'
Pink Blooms Deciduous Azalea
North Lights Series
Zones 4-8
'Tri-Lights' is an extremely cold tolerant azalea selection that was bred as part of the North Lights Series of amazing azaleas by the University of Minnesota. This hybird was bred by crossing a Rhododendron atlanticum with a red blooming Exbury hybrid azalea. The result was 'Tri-Lights'. In spring, red flower buds open up to blooms that are white marbled in pink with a yellow splotch and orange speckles. This creates a killer combination of colors in the bloom itself. 'Tri-Lights' may reach 5 ft in height by 6 ft in width in 10 years. Make sure to give 'Tri-Lights' plenty of organic matter and good drainage when planting.
