‘Tsuki no shimo’ is a special Satsuki azalea with leaves that curl on the edges that give a cupped appearance. The blooms appear in late mid-to-late spring with white blossoms that have a pink blush. ‘Tsuki no shimo’ makes a nice flowering shrub reaching 3-4 ft in height and width in 10 years. ‘Tsuki no shimo’ is a popular satsuki azalea for bonsai due to its cupped foliage.
