‘Yellow Alabamense' is a more yellow selection of Rhododendron alabamense. Rhododendron alabamense is a native selection of deciduous azalea from South Carolina through Alabama with clusters of tubular flowers that are lemon scented. The blooms are great for bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. 'Yellow Alabamense' has all these great characteristics, but with more yellow color to the blooms. This makes this native azalea especially popular for the landscape and garden. 'Yellow Alabamense' may reach 5-6 ft in height by 3-4 ft in width in 10 years.
