Carpinus betulus 'Columnaris Nana’ is a slow growing narrow form of European hornbeam that shines in the landscape and the ornamental garden. The tight layering dense habit give ‘Columnaris Nana’ a unique texture that makes this small tree a great addition to compliment Japanese maples and conifers. The dwarf stature and narrow footprint allows this tree to be used in so many locations in the landscape. ‘Columnaris Nana’ may reach 6-7 ft in height by only a few feet in width in 10 years. Fall color on ‘Columnaris Nana’ is a bright yellow.
