Carpinus caroliniana 'Stowe Cascade' is a beautiful weeping selection of American Hornbeam that was found in the woods outside the Stowe Botanical Garden near Charlotte, NC. Carpinus caroliniana 'Stowe Cascade' has a upright yet arching shape that accentuates the overall weeping habit of this weeping Carolina hornbeam. 'Stowe Cascade' turns to a bright orange in the autumn. This weeping American hornbeam may reach 15ft in height in 10 years.
