Carolina Sweetheart® redbud starts out in the early spring with bright pink-purple flowers that cover the branches of the beautiful upright tree. Cercis canadensis Carolina Sweetheart® has deep maroon new growth with think pink margined variegation. As the growth matures, the colors change to green on white with a little bit of pink. This creates a multi-colored effect that is quite attractive. We expect Carolina Sweetheart® to reach 15-20 ft in 10 years.
