Cornus kousa Mandarin Jewel™ is a vigorous Chinese dogwood that performs extremely well in the landscape. In May-June, Mandarin Jewel™ is a prolific bloomer, loaded in white blooms.  Later in the season, the white blooms turn into seeds, but on this Chinese dogwood, the rounded fruit in is unlike any other Chinese dogwood. In late summer to fall, the fruit is a yellow-orange! This is where Tim Brotzman of Brotzman Nursery got the name Mandarin Jewel™. The leaves on Mandarin Jewel™ may turn yellow to orange in the fall. Mandarin Jewel™ may reach 15-18 ft in height by 10-12 ft in width.
