Corylopsis sinensis 'Spring Purple' has lavender purple new growth. This color holds well until about mid-June to early July, giving a unique spring color in the garden. In March, 'Spring Purple' has yellow bell-shaped flowers that provide a nice fragrance to the landscape. Corylopsis sinensis 'Spring Purple' may reach 4-5 ft in height and width in 15 years.
