‘Gyokuryu’ is a faster growing selection of Japanese cryptomeria with an excellent irregular pyramidal form. ’Gyokuryu’ may reach 12 ft in height by 6-8 ft in width in 10 years. ‘Gyokuryu’ was brought to the United States from Japan in the late 1960’s by Joel Spingarn.
