'Rohan Gold', sometimes called 'Rohani Aurea' is a yellow European beech selection from Arboretum Trompenburg that was hybridized by Van Hoey Smith. The leaves are slightly more serrated than most with a brilliant golden yellow color. The habit is strongly upright reaching 10-12ft in 10 years. Some believe this to be a hybrid with the cultivar 'Zlatia'.
