'Tortuosa' is a sculptural tree in any landscape. The contorted habit that 'Tortuosa' gets with age is heavily desirable, grabbing anyone's attention. The foliage is green in the spring and summer. In autumn 'Tortuosa' turns a golden yellow, maturing to orange by late fall. During the winter with the leaves off, older specimens of 'Tortuosa' give even morei nterest in the landscape due to their twisted and sculptural habit. Most specimens grow wider than tall. I recommend staking 'Tortuosa' up so that you can enjoy the twisting canopy. If staked upwards, 'Tortuosa' may reach 5-6 ft in height by 5-6 ft in width in 10 years. 'Tortuosa' is one tree you will simply love in your garden. 'Tortuosa' is also known as 'Tortuosa Pendula'.
